Plastic Solenoid Valves for Slightly Aggressive Media. Plastic solenoid valves suitable for slightly aggressive media such as De mineralised Water, Pure Water, RO Reverse Osmosis Water, slightly acidic or slightly alkali solutions. Here the solenoid valve body is plastic or synthetic giving better chemical resistance than a brass solenoid valve and being typically less expensive than a stainless steel solenoid valve, however the media still has access into the solenoid valve core tube and thus will come into contact with other grades of stainless steel such as the AISI430F armature, AISI302 spring, AISI304 core tube etc. Typically this type of plastic solenoid valve is available with a nylon, Delrin or POM body material which is ideal for ultra clean or pure water applications but when using other slightly aggressive or corrosive media care needs to be taken based on chemical compatibility.
